Nestle Sheikhupura has been among the most notable consumers of Vertex chemicals for many years. Some of the key highlights of the projects are given below first.
Proposed Solution
In addition to flooring, Vertex has also provided PolyUrethane waterproofing solutions to one of their older buildings. This was a rather challenging part of the whole project since the existing solution that was applied had failed and had to be removed. Vertex chemicals was awarded a contract to re-do all the previous water-proofing work. There had been many challenges when the execution of the work started, however, were overcome with sheer professionalism and expertise. Some are listed below:

Old water proofing was de-bonded.

There were cracks in the concrete flat slabs and shells.

The slope in the valleys was not maintained properly.

The mechanical and electrical structures were fixed using bolts in the slab but not treated properly afterward.
We started off with removing the old waterproofing layer and found that only waterproofing work was carried out and no repair work was done. So, first of all we started off with RF4 repair work for the depressions and holes, application of PU-300 sealant was done for joints including construction and expansion joints, small cracks were filled with X4 and after completing all the treatment layers of RockSeal C12 waterproofing was applied along with fiberglass mesh. To test the waterproofing, there had been rains and 48 hours of ponding tests that had been carried out, however, there was no leakage observed in any portion, concluding the project as an overall success.
